RH Law Professional Corporation doing business as Signal Lawyers (“Company”), is committed to solving problems, minimizing risks and managing legal processes for business owners in Ontario.

As part of this commitment, the Company recognizes the importance of measures to take to protect the security of all personal information that comes into its possession and control.

This Privacy Policy, effective May 1, 2024, describes how the Company collects, uses and processes personal information provided by customers and visitors of its websites and other digital properties (the “Digital Properties“) and the measures the Company takes to protect its privacy and security.

Definitions

Terms in this Policy with the initial letters capitalized, whether used in the singular or plural, shall have the meanings stated below.

“Agent” means Lawtrepreneur Inc.
“Company” means RH Law Professional Corporation doing business as Signal Lawyers.
“Digital Properties” means the digital technologies that enable the Company to offer free and paid learning experiences to users.
“Lawtrepreneur” means Lawtrepreneur Inc.
“Personal Information” means all information about an identifiable individual provided or otherwise collected by the Digital Properties. Personal information includes all information relating to an identifiable person as defined under the Personal and Electronic Documents Act, S.C. 2000, c.5 and includes a person’s home address, email address, telephone number, credit card information and account password.
“Website” means this website and associated webpages.

Applicability

This Privacy Policy applies to the Company and the customers and visitors using the Digital Properties.

The Company has purchased access to the Digital Properties from Lawtrepreneur Inc. with the expectation that all Personal Information will be collected used and disclosed in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

This Policy describes the measures the Company takes to ensure the privacy and security of Personal Information.

The Company is committed to ensuring the privacy and security of Personal Information and to meeting its obligations under all applicable Canadian privacy legislation.

The Company is committing to collecting, using and disclosing Personal Information provided by customers and visitors using the Digital Properties only for reasonable and bona-fide business related purposes.

The Company is committed to taking all reasonable steps to ensure the continuing privacy and security of all Personal Information provided by customers using the Digital Properties.

The Company has established the position of Privacy Officer, responsible for the development and implementation of all necessary rules and procedures for the collection, use, disclosure and retention of Personal Information, including Personal Information provided by customers using the Digital Properties. The Privacy Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with this Website Privacy Policy and all applicable privacy legislation.

The Company will collect, use and disclose Personal Information of customers and visitors using the Digital Properties for reasonable, business-related purposes, and in accordance with the following privacy principles:

  • The Company will expressly obtain your consent for the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information.
  • If you access the Digital Properties, you will be using resources and assets owned by Lawtrepreneur Inc. that have been licensed to the Company. Should you do so, your consent to your Personal Information being collected by Lawtrepreneur on behalf of the Company. The Company and/or Lawtrepreneur may use and disclose Personal Information provided by customers using the Digital Properties without consent, for compliance with any applicable law, regulation, or the order of any court or other lawfully constituted authority.
  • We use cookies to deliver value to users such as saving your login information or reducing the time you spend typing in your password. These cookies are for your convenience. You may opt out of this value.
  • The Company may use and disclose Personal Information provided by customers using the Digital Properties without consent for compliance with any applicable law, regulation, or the order of any court or other lawfully constituted authority
  • Digital Properties may include embedded content from other websites. Such content behaves in the same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. In other words, these websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. In such cases, this Privacy Policy will not be applicable.

Embedded Content From Other Websites

The Digital Properties may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Limiting Collection

The Company will collect and use Personal Information customers and visitors provide when using the Digital Properties solely for the the business-related purposes for which the Personal Information was provided and for the Company to meet its legal obligations.

Limiting the Use, Disclosure, and Retention of Personal Information

Personal Information customers and visitors provide when using the Digital Properties will be used, disclosed and retained only for the purposes for which the information was collected and other reasonably expected business- related purposes, or for compliance with any applicable law, regulation, or order of any court or other lawfully constituted authority.

Security of Personal Information

The Company will take all commercially reasonable steps to protect Personal Information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Reasonable steps include physical, electronic and procedural measures appropriate to the level of sensitivity of the Personal Information.

Access to Personal Information.

Customers can review the accuracy or completeness of the Personal Information collected by using the Digital Properties the Personal Information was submitted. Customers will generally be able to see, edit and/or delete their Personal Information at any time. Please contact the Privacy Officer in the event of your inability to do so.
